Wildlife, beaches, ruins, friendly people, fascinating cultures – Tanzania has all these and more wrapped up in one adventurous, welcoming package. The Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater are some of the best safari destinations on the planet, where wildebeest stampede across the plains, closely followed by hungry lions, hippos jostle for space in muddy waterways and elephants wander along seasonal migration routes. After all that activity it is time to relax. Tanzania’s Indian Ocean coastline is magical, with tranquil islands and sleepy coastal villages steeped in centuries of Swahili culture.

DAY 1 - Welcome to Tanzania!

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by our representative and assisted with your transfer to your hotel, approximately a 1 hour drive from the airport.
The Arusha Coffee Lodge is based on one of the largest coffee plantations in Tanzania. Why not embark on an hour-long coffee tour to learn how the beans are grown, harvested and roasted. An onsite crafts village boasts some beautiful souvenirs and safaris from the lodge are also on offer.

DAY 2 - Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, there is a 2 hour drive to Lake Manyara National Park, where you will see forests packed with monkeys, wildebeest, and buffalo on your game drive. Hippos wallow in the pools, flocks of flamingos gather on the lakeshore and woodland lions rest in the trees.

Here you can also wander along the Manyara Treetop Walkway, a sky-high adventure through the treetops. Experience untouched nature and wildlife from a unique perspective. From Lake Manyara, drive up the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley, onto the crater highlands to spend the rest of the day at leisure enjoying the facilities at the lodge.

DAY 3 - Ngorongoro

Today you will visit one of the most dramatic safari destinations in Africa, the Ngorongoro Crater. Descend to the crater floor in search of the Big Five. The Lerai Forest covers the surrounding crater wall, creating stunning backdrops for all your wildlife photographs.

In the late afternoon you will visit a Maasai Boma, a truly captivating experience. Whilst at the Boma you will meet with the village elder who will introduce you to the traditional Maasai lifestyle and culture that has been maintained successfully for centuries and continues to thrive in our ever-changing world. Return to the hotel for dinner.

DAY 4 - Serengeti National Park

After breakfast drive along the crater rim before descending the outer slopes of the Ngorongoro crater and onto the vast plains of the Serengeti.

The Serengeti is famous for its high concentration of predators year round, with large prides of lion, numerous hyena clans, and regular sightings of both cheetah and leopard. Elephant, buffalo, giraffe, and antelope can be found here as well as some of the lesser known species such as aardwolf, mongoose, servals and hyrax. Enjoy lunch at the camp followed by an afternoon game drive.

DAY 5 - Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will head out to explore the extensive plains of the Serengeti in search of more wildlife. If you would like to maximize your time game viewing, you can take a picnic lunch out into the park and enjoy a meal in the midst of the vast savannah, before returning to your lodge later in the day.

DAY 6 - Serengeti National Park

Following breakfast, you will continue to enjoy prolific wildlife encounters on another full day game drive in the park. Plans for lunch are at your request, either on the move or back at the camp.

DAY 7 - Zanzibar

After an early breakfast, enjoy a final game drive, for the chance to witness the wildlife starting their day, on route to the airport for your flight to Zanzibar.

Upon arrival in Zanzibar you will be met by a representative and assisted with your transfer to the Breezes Beach Resort where you can enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
