Full Itinerary
Day 1 - Windhoek to Sossusvlei
You will be met in Windhoek by your private guide and then drive through the scenic Khomas Hochland highlands before heading into the Namib Desert. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic location along the way.
Arrive at Sossus Dune Lodge in the mid-afternoon. The lodge is built in an environmentally sensitive manner in an attractive afro-village style and offers sunset drives and guided walks of the area. If there is time, your guide will take you to visit Sesriem Canyon, a nearby geological attraction, or explore Elim Dune. Or you can just relax and soak in the scenic and tranquil surroundings at the lodge.

Day 2 - Sossusvlei
Set off before sunrise for the Namib Naukluft National Park. At dawn the light accentuates the towering shapes and curves of these incredible sand dunes - some of the highest in the world. Your guide will give you an insight on the formation of the Namib Desert and the myriad of fascinating creatures and plants that have adapted to survive these harsh environs.
Return to Sossus Dune Lodge for lunch. In the afternoon either visit Sesriem Canyon, if you did not have time to do this yesterday, or relax at the lodge.

Day 3 - Swakopmund
There is an option this morning to include a sunrise balloon flight or scenic light aircraft flight over the Namib Naukluft National Park before you depart (at additional cost). The drive today takes you northwest through the ever changing desert landscapes before arriving at the pleasant seaside town of Swakopmund.
In the afternoon explore the town before having dinner at a popular seafood restaurant.

Day 4 - Swakopmund
After an early breakfast head back to Walvis Bay for a kayaking adventure. Kayaking is an ideal way of seeing Cape fur seals, heaviside and bottlenose dolphins, pelicans, flamingos and a wide variety of other sea birds. If you are lucky, there is also a chance of seeing whales, leatherback turtles and sunfish. Alternatively, you can enjoy a boat tour to see this wide variety of marine life.
Return to Swakopmund for an afternoon at leisure or you can enjoy the wide variety of activities on offer here.

Day 5 - Damaraland
After breakfast head to the diverse region of Damaraland. Damaraland is typified by displays of magnificent table topped mountains, rock formations and bizarre-looking vegetation in this beautiful wilderness.

Day 6 - Damaraland
After an early breakfast enjoy a 4x4 excursion along the Aba Huab and Huab River valleys to search for game, including the elusive desert adapted elephants if they are in the area.
In the afternoon visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Twyfelfontein to marvel at this impressive collection of ancient rock art and engravings made by Stone Age Hunter Gatherers many thousands of years ago.

Day 7 - Etosha National Park
After breakfast drive to a Himba ‘Living Museum’ where you will be able to meet some of the local community who will be happy to demonstrate elements of their traditional lifestyle. The Himba are one of the last truly traditional peoples of Namibia and are happy to share their culture and way of life with visitors.
In the afternoon head to Etosha Mountain Lodge, where you can watch wildlife at the camp's floodlit waterhole or in the underground and elevated hides.

Day 8 - Etosha National Park
After breakfast, your private safari vehicle will take you right across Etosha National Park on a spectacular full day game drive via the many water holes which are great for wildlife viewing.
Leaving the park before sunset you will arrive at Onguma Tree Top Camp. Your room here is set on wooden stilts amongst the treetops, with full views over the camp’s beautiful watering hole.

Day 9 - Onguma Game Reserve
After breakfast head back into the eastern section of Etosha National Park for another day of spectacular wildlife spotting on your game drive. Return to camp for lunch and a rest before your afternoon game drive on the private Onguma Game Reserve, culminating in a sundowner overlooking Fischer’s Pan. Enjoy your final ‘safari dinner’ overlooking the camp’s floodlit waterhole.

Day 10 - Okonjima, Windhoek and home
Early departure for Okonjima’s AfriCat Foundation. This is a wildlife sanctuary which focuses on the research and rehabilitation of Africa's big cats, especially injured or captured leopards and cheetahs. You arrive in time for lunch before embarking on an exciting and informative game drive and tour of the centre.
Continue back to Windhoek in the late afternoon for your transfer to an onward hotel or to Windhoek International Airport
