Day 1 - Cape Town
Welcome to Cape Town! You will be met at the door of your aircraft by a Big Safari Company Representative and assisted through immigration, baggage collection and customs. Your private transfer will take you to your hotel. The Three Boutique Hotel is located in the residential Gardens suburb and positioned below the dramatic Cape Town mountains, “the Three” mountains - Table Mountain, Devil’s Peak and Lion’s Head. The Three Boutique Hotel is a national monument dating back to the mid 1700’s. Enjoy leisurely breakfasts on the rooftop deck with its panoramic views, take a dip in the swimming pool, or sip sundowners as the lights begin to reflect off the rock face of Table Mountain.

Day 2 - Cape Town City Tour
For a great view over the Mother City, the Atlantic Seaboard & Robben island, your private guide will start your tour off with a cable car ride up Table Mountain. Your guide will introduce you to the heart of the city with a short walk through the Company Gardens. The vibrancy of Cape Town can be felt here, with the richness and diversity of South African history, and the cultural melting pot that it is. You’ll see “The Arch” which was created to commemorate the life and work of Desmond Tutuand is a tribute to the values of the South African Constitution. This sits beside historic St. George's Cathedral aka “People’s Cathedral” for its role in the resistance against apartheid.
Your private guide is on hand to give you an insight into both modern day living in Cape Town as well as her history and diverse cultures. Your half day city tour will end at Truth Café a ‘steampunk inspired’ artisan coffee shop serving hand-roasted coffees in a vintage cast-iron drum before you are returned to your hotel.

Day 3 - Cape Point & Peninsula
You will be met in the hotel lobby by your private guide today, ready for a full day exploring the Atlantic Seaboard, travelling down to the South Eastern corner of the Cape Peninsula, where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. There are magnificent mountain and beach views, quaint villages and fishing harbour, as we travel via Sea Point, Clifton and Camps Bay, to Hout Bay and continue via Chapman’s Peak, one of the world’s most breath-taking coastal drives, to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Cape Point. We’ll stop at Simon’s Town, a village with charming Victorian architecture, a naval base and we’re likely to see a large African penguin colony at the beautiful Boulders Beach.
A lunch stop is made nearby (not included). End the day with a visit to the well-known Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. The Garden includes five of South Africa’s six different biomes and is world-renowned for the beauty and diversity of the Cape Flora it displays The tour ends at ± 17:30 with a drop-off at your hotel where the rest of your day can be spent at leisure.

Day 4 - Cape Town Winelands Tour
You will be led by your wine guide on a fabulous day including 3 wine tastings and pairings, whilst taking in superb mountain range scenery, vineyards and Cape Dutch homesteads.
One of the most celebrated wine and food destinations in South Africa, the beautiful Franschhoek Valley, was established by French Huguenot refugees in 1688. Offering a captivating blend of European charm with the main street dotted with exclusive boutiques, gourmet restaurants and art galleries. The Cape Dutch-style farms in the valley produce all the noble and classic cultivars - from superlative whites such as Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Semillon and Chenin Blanc, to intense Syrah, complex Pinot Noir and the famed Méthode Cap Classique sparkling wines.
The heart of the Cape winelands is the vibrant town of Stellenbosch, a wine lover’s paradise of bars and bistros. Grapes have been cultivated around Stellenbosch for more than 350 years, and the area is recognized for producing South Africa’s finest reds. It is best for those curious to try South African Pinotage and Chenin Blanc.
After exploring these two famed wine routes, you will be returned to your hotel.

Day 5 - Cape Town to Greater Kruger
Today we bid a fond farewell to “The Mother City” and fly north to Eastgate Airport, where there is a short drive to Kapama River Lodge. Kapama is a Private Game Reserve, situated in the Greater Kruger, where you can see the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo) during your stay. While seeing big game is always exhilarating, there are many other smaller species that are also captivating, and birding enthusiasts will be delighted at the approximately 350 species of bird recorded on the reserve. Throughout the day, it’s likely you will see wildlife such as nyala antelope, Vervet monkeys or even a few of the Big Five. Early evening our first game drive on the reserve with a maximum of 8 guests per vehicle before enjoying dinner around the boma.

Day 6 - Kapama Private Game Reserve Greater Kruger
There are two game drives each day, one early morning and the other at dusk, when you have the best chance of seeing the most wildlife. Additionally, you can also go for an educational bush walk in the afternoon under the guidance of a skilled ranger. Your guide will point out medicinal plants, insects and birdlife along the way, and share traditional tracking skills such as using animal footprints and scat to identify animals.
After your early evening game drive, you can enjoy dinner at the lodge with time to reflect on the wide variety of wildlife you’ve seen today.

Day 7 - Kapama Private Game Reserve Greater Kruger
Another day to enjoy all that is on offer in this spectacular game reserve. A morning and afternoon game drive, perhaps some time by the rim-flow pool with views of the nearby watering hole, and another chance to go on an afternoon guided game walk. Enjoy dinner at the lodge tonight under the African stars in the boma.

Day 8 - Kapama Private Game Reserve Greater Kruger
It is worth arranging for your flights to depart from Eastgate Airport in the afternoon so that you have time to enjoy a final game drive this morning! A last chance to capture that perfect wildlife photo before your time in South Africa comes to an end...or perhaps you’d like to extend your stay with a trip to see Victoria Falls?
