Full Itinerary
Day 1 - Mashatu Game Reserve
You will be met by a Big Safari Company representative at Maun International Airport and transferred by charter flight to Mashatu Game Reserve.
Mashatu is a large, privately owned reserve, with diverse habitats which provides refuge to an amazing array of wildlife. It is referred to as Land of Giants, being home to the biggest herd of elephants found on private land on the entire African continent! All of Africa’s predators, numerous antelope species and bird life abound in the reserve.

Day 2 - Mashatu Game Reserve
Mashatu Lodge is elevated around a waterhole and offers excellent game viewing opportunities from within the camp itself. The dining area, stunning day lounge and bar provide diverse lookouts from which to enjoy and appreciate the view. The camp’s beautiful rooms have expansive en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning and a private lounge area overlooking the surrounding bush. Facilities within the camp include a swimming pool, an air-conditioned lounge and dining room and enclosed African boma.

Day 3 - Mashatu Game Reserve
Mashatu offers day and night game drives conducted by professional, experienced guides. A wide range of other optional activities are on offer here include walking safaris, birding, cycling safaris on mountain bikes and horse riding safaris. In addition, there are historic and archaeological sites nearby, most notable are the Motloutse Ruins and the Pitsani Koppie sites as well as specialist photographic safaris making use of wildlife hides to get close to the action.

Day 4 - Okavango Delta
You will be met at Maun Airport for your transfer to the Buffalo fence on the edge of the camping concession area, a drive of approximately 30 minutes. Thereafter we leave the vehicles behind and you can either walk to camp or board a traditional dugout mokoro canoe and wind your way through the tranquil waterways of the Okavango Delta, following hippo and elephant channels.
Once settled in, enjoy a stroll to take in the splendour of your camp environment with a sundowner. (The mobile camp will move depending on each day's itinerary.) A delicious dinner is served under the African sky. Be lulled to sleep by the sounds of the bush – elephants feeding close to your tent and even perhaps, lions calling.

Day 5 - Okavango Delta
Following an early breakfast, head out on your morning walk. If fortunate you may encounter elephants swimming in deep water channels, see herds of red lechwe antelope skipping through shallow waters and amazing birdlife will be present just about everywhere. In the heat of the day you can seek out a safe, clear, natural pool for a swim and return to camp for a tasty lunch.
Traditionally African siesta time follows during the heat of the afternoon to recharge for your early evening walk. The colour of the light changing into a classic Delta sunset will take your breath away. An alternative to the evening walk is to take a leisurely mokoro sunset cruise. Feast on another delightful bush dinner before retiring.

Day 6 - Okavango Delta
Free to choose any direction for the day, your Professional Walking Guide will plan your day’s route with you to search for game, birds or even simply immerse yourself in the incredible solitude found here. Secretive predators are a favourite to search for or simply set out for the nearby hippo pools to be entertained by their antics and unusual calls.

Day 7 - Okavango Delta
A final breakfast at sunrise is followed by farewells. Your luggage will be loaded onto mokoros for transfer to the Buffalo fence and again you have the option to either transfer this route by mokoro or on foot. Your safari vehicle will then take you back to Maun Airport for your onward flight to Kwando Splash Camp, deep in the heart of the Okavango Delta alongside the Moremi Game Reserve.

Day 8 - Okavango Delta
Tents at Kwando Splash Camp are set upon individual decks with spectacular views over a pan which attracts a variety of wildlife. Splash Camp’s main area has a lounge, bar, curio shop and plunge pool. Meals are served al fresco in the boma area in front of the camp looking towards the lagoon.
Both day and night game drives and bush walks are conducted by experienced guides and trackers. Game viewing in the area is considered phenomenal and it is a true birders’ paradise. Also on offer are boat cruises, mokoro excursions and fishing (seasonal & depending on water levels)

Day 9 - Selinda Reserve
After breakfast transfer to the airstrip for your flight to the Linyanti - a safari addict’s bush nirvana. One of the most remote and exclusive pockets of Botswana, this pristine wilderness is what great game viewing and wildlife documentaries are made of. It is not just for ticking off the big game; it also has a knack for delivering lesser-spotted bucket list items, whether it’s a rare bush pig or that long-searched-for wild dog. Together with the Chobe Riverfront, it homes the highest density of African elephants in the world.

Day 10 - Selinda Reserve
Selinda Explorers Camp is in a remote, treasured location on the famous Selinda Spillway - a crucial gathering point for wildlife. The camp focuses primarily on the traditional safaris of walking and canoeing. In addition, day game drives and night game drives are available to explore this wildlife hotspot, with huge herds of elephants and buffalo, lion, wild dog, sable and roan antelope all frequently spotted.

Day 11 - Selinda Reserve
Depart the camp after breakfast for your flight back to Maun for your onward international connection home.
